Be sure the mattress size you intend to purchase not only fits inside your bedroom, but also through all doors used to enter the room.

Find a store(s) to shop at. Typically, specialty mattress stores will have more informed salespeople and information on mattresses than a generic furniture store. Be sure that where you choose to buy has a good reputation and helpful employees.

Mattresses are generally with large sizes in longth*width*height, they may occupy too much space in Container, leading to vey limited loading quantity.
So to save the shipping cost and to increase the loading quantity, normal packaging has been far not enough for the demand of this filed.

Some foam mattresses are compressed and rolled up to save shipping space and cost.

Mattresses with spring coil systems can be also vacuum compressed or even rolled up( this is related to its spring system structure and type). But you should pay attention to the spring system types and spring coil diameter of the mattress spring systems.

Yes,you are right, but their support systems have great difference. Mattresses with thinner wire Spring systems are with weaker support to the human beings' backs after they recover from being coompressed status, and if the spring coil is too thin, it may be broken after being compressed by machinery.

This is quite easy to understand. For example, if you stand on two spring systems with different spring wire diameter，(such as 1.7mm,2.2mm),you will get quite obvious different feelings from their backing support power.

So normally spring mattresses with vacuum compressed package has been enough instead of being rolled up.
